An Afternoon of Poetry with BRIAN BILSTON

Join us for an afternoon of culture, laughter and wise words with bestselling poet Brian Bilston, performing from, and talking about, his new anthology Days Like These.

Often described as the Banksy of poetry and Twitter’s unofficial Poet Laureate – Brian Bilston has done more than anyone to highlight the humour and absurdity of the past few years.

Days Like These contains a poem for every day of the year, each one inspired by an event associated with that day – from the invention of television to World Bee Day; from Ada Lovelace Day to the founding of the NHS; from the death of Agatha Christie to the beheading of Charles I. Other subjects include: quarks, Morse code, Wittgenstein, Blue Peter, bananas, unicorns, Barbie etc etc! A delightful, original way to celebrate every day of the year.
